Back from a week of wildness…

5 days on the land in Wales, cooking on an open fire, drinking spring water and 2 whole days of solitude save for the buzzards, kites, woodpeckers, badgers, foxes, rabbits, mice etc…

The 2000+ trees that we planted almost 10 years ago are doing well except for the ash which sadly have been affected by dieback.

Flashback!

I can’t believe this was what we we’re doing two Christmases ago! So much has happened since then – a complete roller-coaster ride of extreme situations and emotions. But we’re still together and ready for the next chapter. Hopefully it will involve getting back to India. But first, Shetland for this Christmas!!!

YULE

Just got back from the Isles of Scilly and a fantastic Christmas break. Relaxing in the few days left of 2010, without doubt one of the harshest years of my life. But as ever, a load of positive stuff happened too. Great holidays, people, food, music, love and laughs. Here’s to 2011 whatever it may bring!

More normaler

Well! Back into work (albeit on a ‘phased return’ basis) and loving it. Feeling a bit less fatigued than recent weeks but still got a way to go. Just enjoying being involved in ‘normal’ everyday life again. Never thought stress and emotional turmoil could make a person so physically ill. Now I know what true exhaustion is. Looking forward to Christmas more than ever this year…

Tentative steps…

Well, I’m starting to take my first steps back to health now. Spoke to personnel and arranged a meeting about helping me back into work, started some cognitive behavioural therapy and had a reflexology session. The best bits of today were walking in the autumn wind and leaves in a beautiful place, the feeling of bliss after a foot massage, buying the ‘Dictionary of Brisitsh folk tales in the English language: Folk Legends (part B) by Katharine Mary Briggs’ online after wanting a copy of it for 15+ years and getting a goodnight text from my dearest.

All Saints Day

Had the results of a load of tests come back today – all clear. God I was worried sick – literally. Scariest days of my life waiting for this. Got a couple more referrals to check out but feel like I’m at a real turning point, finally. Still a long way to go to full health and full time work but am so relieved you would’nt believe it.

Getting there…

Feel like I’m starting to get to grips with the dashboard of this thing now but have a long way to go. I had forgotten how time consuming it is going through photos deciding which ones to post… Fun though!
